Sparrow carrying nesting material

This watercolor work is based on a sparrow I happened to see. The sparrow was carrying a bundle of pine leaves and dead grass as nesting material.
In Japan, it has been reported that the number of sparrows has been decreasing in recent years, mainly in suburban areas (their population is decreasing in suburban areas with farmland and increasing in urban areas), and I had been seeing fewer sparrows in my area.
The image on the left is a sketch, and the image on the right is a work in progress drawn based on the sketch.
